Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist/provide support to the team leader in ensuring the overall smooth running of pre-contract and post Contract administration, and, be involved in the daily operations of the Contracts & Commercial Department.
- To actively involve in the Contract and Cost Management of the works packages which include interalia:
- To prepare and compile Tender and Contract Documents.
- To coordinate, advise, check and verify all relevant documents for the Interim Payment Certificates (IPC), inclusive of documents from Consultants and sub-contractors.
- To ensure that all relevant documents submitted are fully substantiated, accurate, and in accordance with the Contract.
- To highlight and refer to the in other departments within the company on any commercial and contractual issues.
- To conduct joint inspection or valuation with external and internal stakeholders, as and when necessary.
- To monitor and anticipate issues on time and cost impact, and respond timely to all correspondences. •
- Check, verify and evaluate all Variations Orders (VO) and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
- To liaise closely with relevant third parties, e.g. ICE and inhouse contract managers to discuss on progress, contractual and cost issues, if and when necessary.
- To monitor/ participate in the Tender Calling and Tender Evaluation for Sub-Contractors/ Suppliers’ work packages.
- To check, collate, track, update, verify, populate and compile all spreadsheets, tracking datas and contractual key issues for management reports/ information/updates. • Prepare Contract Cost Analysis and collection of cost database for future reference.
- To actively participate in meetings and update/distribute information to team.
- To assist in ensuring all documentations (including supporting documents) are in order to achieve nil major Non-Compliant Report (NCR) in external and internal audit exercise.
- To deliver and/or provide support and/or assist in ad-hoc tasks or any new tasks, as and when required.
- To ensure correspondences and documentations housekeeping at all times are updated and filed.
- To adhere to the line of communication at Section and Department’s levels, and, highlight or refer any contractual and cost issues for resolution/decision/action.
- To understand and committed to the company’s mission, values, goals and department charter.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Quantity Survey or equivalent.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, English
- At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Kulai & Kluang.
- Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Full-Time position(s) available.
- Willing to relocate to Johor.
